Background:
They weren't normal twins from the beginning. One was mute, the other one blind.
But nobody ever bothered about that, as the children were healthy and full of life. They always got along well and their bond was very strong, so one could hardly be seen without the other one. They were inseparable.
One could say they've been too close, even for twins. And one day it got even more strange ...
The blind twin described things they'd allegedly see and he was right about every single detail. He also started to talk for his twin brother, saying things he wanted to say, but of course couldn't. Their parents didn't know how all of this would be possible, first they thought it would be a trick, a joke they've made up, but how could the blind twin describe the surroundings in such a detail? His twin brother wasn't able to tell him about it, so how could he know ... ?
They searched for professional help and soon the twins were the subject of a variety of experiments and tests. They were separated and the mute twin had to look at a picture, while the blind twin in a different room described exactly that picture. The mute twin had to write his thoughts down and the blind twin found exactly the same words. After more tests like this, the doctors diagnosed them with the ability of telepathy.
This result made the twins become famous.
The people wanted to see them and their abilities, they paid for it with their money and their applause.
Soon the blind twin got addicted to his popularity. He thought of himself to be the star anyway as he was the one seeing things despite his blindness, he was the one to speak his brothers words, while he was just a prop for the show.
The mute twin didn't like all the attention, he wanted his old and normal life back and he let his twin brother know about his real thoughts, but all he got was malice and the threat that he'd harm him if he wouldn't play along. He still needed him for the show after all ...
The mute twin still didn't want to, so the blind twin made his threat real and started to hurt his brother. He beat him up, made him cry and daunted him.
It was too much for the mute twin and he only saw one way to end all this. He had to become blind himself, so his brother couldn't see through his eyes anymore. He tried it over and over again, using different methods like putting bleach into his eyes, sewing them up or tape them shut, but his brother was always faster to prevent him from doing all that. And he did even more.
One day he forced the eyes of his mute brother open, so he could never close them again, making the blind twin see forever. The mute twin suffered badly from it and in his panic he grabbed a nearby vase and crashed it on his twin brothers head. He fell over and didn't get up again.
There was blood everywhere and the mute twin cried, trying to wake up his dead brother, so he didn't even realize that he cut his arms on the shards, slowly bleeding to death.
This time even two ghosts, ahh!
Typical horror twins, I'd say.
