Punishments:

- constantly angry

- always treated like a girl

Background:

When she was born, the first reaction of her parents was disappointment.
They wanted to have a son, not a daughter, so they didn't care much that they had a healthy child after all.
After trying it over and over again, she remained their only child. And her parents couldn't get over their disappointment, they rather scolded her for her gender, obviously wishing for a son. At some point she thought she could make them happier or even proud if she'd become the boy they wanted her to be instead.
So she started to play with other boys of her age instead of the girls, she started to behave like them, liking the same stuff that boys would like and she started to dress like one as well!
Her parents watched this process closely and they were a bit more satisfied, yet their daughter didn't do it right yet. Even if she participated in competitions for boys, she couldn't keep up with them. Her parents told her she needed to try harder to become a good son as she already failed as a daughter from the very beginning.
Not only her parents put pressure on her, also the boys around her. They knew she was a girl, so they laughed about her, telling her to give up. They made fun of her, teased her, but her anger grew everyday, bit by bit, so one day she couldn't hold it back any longer and beat up those guys who laughed about her. None of the boys ever dared to mock her again.
After getting the anger out of her system, she noticed that it wasn't all gone yet. There was way more and due to her parents it wouldn't get less anytime soon ...
One day her parents wanted to take her to a fancy ball and for once they asked her to behave and dress like a girl, as everyone else there knew about her real gender anyway, so she should be what they expected her to be.
But she refused, she was already used to her male role; in the end they forced her into the role of a "real" girl.
Wearing a dress and jewelry, she didn't feel comfortable at all. Some young men at the ball tried to get closer to her, especially one, but she refused and went outside to be alone and wait until it's finally over. In her anger she ripped the dress in pieces, throwing her shoes away as well. Then other girls came out to join her or most likely to make fun of her as well. How ridiculous it'd be to dress up and behave like a boy, but in the end she wouldn't be that pretty anyway.
She didn't exactly care about their words, but their pure existence was enough to make her snap again and beat up the girls as well.
After this incident she spend most of the time in her room, alone.
Yet there was one person that wasn't afraid of her and her anger; this one young man from the ball. He visited her parents and didn't waste much time to ask them if he could marry her. Her parents thought it'd be the perfect chance to get rid of her awful daughter, so they agreed without asking her.
They just told her much later when her future husband was around as well. Of course she refused, but nobody listened.
It was the last time she lost control over herself.
Starting to destroy the house and all its interior, she even managed to set everything on fire. Her victims couldn't flee anywhere, so she chased them down and let all the anger out she had in her for all the years.
When it was done, she felt finally free and relieved.
So she didn't bother to lose her consciousness and die in the flames.

Why do I always think about how they die just when I'm writing all of this down? OTL

I have some anger issues, and had an incident today, so it was a pretty nice coincidence
And MAN, you really do like gender confused ghosts!
